Public comment: Mark Drobac asked about a procedure to view the log books for the trucks and boats. Mary Richard reminded everyone of the rummage sale on Sept.16. Rick Stoehr reminded everyone of the DAV trailer being at the sale also. A resident of Thomas rd. wants everyone to keep an eye out===there was a break-in there recently. Nancy Thomas talked about Dean Panian, her brother, building the pavilion and asked about the grass problem and possibility of potable water at the pavilion. Also, a thank you to the Board from Nancy. JoAnn Bassing asked that the board amend the agenda or add to agenda next month the issue of the log books.
Correspondence: E-mail from Keith Nelson, St Louis county regarding tipping fees, SLC grant info, Couri \ Ruppi letter noticing an increase in charges, thank you e-mail from Paul Youngquist to the fire dept., Northwood Partners asking for donation, note and photo thank you from Barb Peyla for setting up the pickleball courts, SLC Meyerle variance notice, info from Phil Chapman on grant for new election equipment, Bassing to apply for the grant.

OLD BUSINESS:
Playground equipment-ordered, paid for, and ready to ship. Install dates are set. Project needs volunteers. Possibly needing to store equipment in Fire Dept. extra building for the winter.

40th Anniversary- back on—anniversary year is Sept 2017-Sept 2018-booklets made, etc.

Report on district meeting-Ralston reported – Road issues were discussed – Speakers-Mike Jugovich, Mary Murphy. Discussion on fine sharing. Jim Fisher talked about changes in leadership for MAT at the end of September.

Canister site-Deluca reported on having a new hauler, Gmen on Oct 1, with a possible change back to NMR
Supervisors correspondence- Deluca feels supervisors are not getting all correspondence.

Meeting Protocol- 2 supervisors only can have dialog—if a third or fourth supervisor- there can be no dialog. Supervisors want this info in writing. Bassing will get from attorney.
Reports: Supervisors: Tahija- report on Lake Vermilion Lodging Tax. Maintenance, Fire Dept.: 9 fire calls, 12 ems, 1 drill 1 meeting, received training videos, re-imbursements from MBFTE sent in, ff classes started, lifelink-helicopter training coming up, pump test working on, hose to Vermilion Lake and Ely picked up soon, need new batteries, no obligation from Greenwood Township to the fd. Pension for 2018, Laurentian setting up grant for radios, live burn Oct 7, Pike Sandy is having EMR training starting Oct 2, Hibbing applying for ff 3-year grant, in process of updating fd records- certificates etc., Virtual training offered, radio training offered in Hermantown,
