OLD BUSINESS:

Birch Point brushing – Table to June meeting

Broadband – surveys are still open and should receive more responses. Deluca and Beihoffer have attended meetings and Deluca would like to say – the board is not against Broadband. Beihoffer recommended no more spending on it.

TAAS – no new information at this time

NEW BUSINESS:

Budget – reduced from recommended $250,000.00 to $150,000.00.          Board should review and look for ways to reduce spending.

Clerk asked if all board members had read the Ordinances? Ralston, Deluca, Skubic and Biehoffer answered yes, Tahija did not answer.

REPORTS:   Supervisors: Beihoffer has emptied the garbage at the Pavilion.            Deluca – ESC fire alarm went off in the Town Hall. An alarm was replaced.    Ralston – The parking lot pavement should be started in mid-June. The trail repair is set to be done Saturday May 16th.                            Fire Chief: Runs – 1 fire, 4 ems, 1 drill. Fazio reported – Mike Indihar did a good job as interim chief. Boats are in the water at Grubens. Boat 2 will be moved to Birch Point Marina. 2 gas leaks were repaired, new GPS radar installed. An air pump was installed. Tom Mortaloni and Roth Indihar worked on the installs. New life vests will be purchased through a DNR grant. Needing new turnout gear. Looking at getting 2 per year. Homemade masks were donated to the Fire Dept. and thank you’ s will be sent. PPE kits and masks were received. Annual testing was done on 16 SCBA tanks.  Mike I and Tammy M working on grants. Sympathy to Mike Indihar as his mother has passed. Safety: Helicopter training done. Boat training next week.             Lee Peterson talked about the City of Tower. Clerk: Kay Hansen donated a wheelchair and a walker to the medical closet. A resident asked about adding the Treasurer’s report, Schedule 1 and Current Investment reports to the website. The Treasurer and the Board were not in favor.                               Ralston: Noted the MAT and government ruling to have 6’ distancing. The Board will meet in person in June, using the ruling.

Correspondence: Letter from Cook Community Center for a donation – Denied.  RAMS meeting minutes and Executive Board vacancy.

Ralston noted a Teleconference with Gov. Walz through MAT on May 13, 2020 4:30          Beihoffer asked about when the Rec Dept can put up the nets and put out the benches. Response – check with Health Dept.
