Land Use Permit
Greenwood Township requires land use permits for the following items:
- Any new construction, replacement or addition to a structure, including raising the height by more then 2 feet.
- Hauling in or removing more then 10 cubic yards of material within 300 feet of the shoreline.
- Construction of any foundation.
Permits are not needed for the following:
- Fences
- Replacing windows, doors, roofs (as long as height does not increase by more then 2 feet), ect.
- Docks
Greenwood Township also has the authority to issue Conditional Use Permits and grant Variances. Conditional Use permits are uses of property, such as a business, that require a special permit. Variances can be granted when a property owner seeks relief from Ordinance.
