Correspondence: thank you from Worringer family for funeral flowers, MN DNR recorded water level summary, Lake County Power capital credit allocation of $325.81. Lake Vermilion Lodging Tax Joint Powers board April minutes, Morcom Township letter regarding Politicians reply on Cook-Orr Annexation. Greenwood Community Recreation board letter with recommendations. MN State Demographic letter with population estimate of 906 and household estimate of 418 as of April 2016.

Public comment—-Mary Richard-Rummage sale went very well-planning another in the fall. Will now charge $5.00 per table to cover cost of newspaper ads. Also, possibly another Chili Cookoff.                            Jeff Maus- commented on open government. Laws were created for access to local government- he questions supervisors exceeding the power of supervisors.                  Gene Baland asked about an OK to go ahead with the playground.

OLD BUSINESS:

Painting township buildings- received 3 quotes

Motion: Deluca\Skubic to approve the Hartway Painting & Wallcovering LLC quote for painting for $6,025.00.                        Passed 5/0

Motion: Bassing to approve POC with changes                    failed no 2nd

Motion: Bassing\Tahija to table POC until July only for # of calls for pension          failed

ESC monitoring system – Deluca reported the system is up and running. The system had to be put in with phone lines rather than wireless.

NEW BUSINESS:

Motion: Bassing\Deluca to transfer $1691.75 for fire alarm system work from Building /Futures to General Fund                                                 Passed 5/0

Motion: Bassing\Deluca to close regular checking account at Frandsen bank, when all checks have been returned. Open a new operating account with the same signers, same terms and conditions and transferring balance from the old account to the new account. Also, authorize the ordering of new checks – changing the name on the checks from Town of Greenwood –to—Greenwood Township, same address. Passed 5/0

Reports: Supervisors- Deluca- request for benches inside the tennis court.                                                             Motion: Deluca\Bassing for Deluca to check on pricing on benches.                                            Ralston-letter from county about new plows which may affect our road. Request for donation-                 Motion: Deluca\Bassing to approve donation of $100.00 to Northwoods Partners     Passed 5/0   Bassing- Bike Trail looking at $70,000.00 in donations. The Tower Breitung Joint fire dept. not looking good.                                                                                                                                                                                                             Safety- Borchardt – training was completed on boat 1 and 2. Fire Dept.- Fazio- Runs: 4 fire, 9 ems, 1 drill, 1 meeting, 4 training and 3 vouchers. Tender 3 will be in the Tower 4th of July Parade, float valve problem, needs repair. P Makowski has requested retirement numbers from PERA. Emergency Apparatus Maintenance finished pump testing and repair. Pump Simulator will be here June 18. Reimbursement for training ready. Log books part of run report. Question from Ralston about certifications of officers, etc. from Fire Brigade. 3 fully trained. Plus 2 from greenwood. Nothing in writing yet. Maintenance- town hall door opener to be repaired or replaced. 911-2 new addresses and 2 new signs. Clerk-received the Relief Assoc. financial statement through 12/31/2016. 2016 Annual meeting minutes found.
