Motion: Skubic\Tahija to add a presentation by Steve Altenburg, regarding the Tower-Soudan ambulance rate increase, to the agenda before Old Business Passed 5/0

Treasurer’s report: Checking: $216,771.46 Long term investments: $251,725.95 Savings Account: $230,726.97 Total: $699,224.38

Claims presented
Motion: Deluca\Beihoffer to approve claims as presented Passed 5/0
Presentation by Steve Altenburg regarding the Tower-Soudan Ambulance rate increase. The increase would be from $15.00 to $30.00 per person. Discussion from board and residents. Ralston would like to bring the subject up at the annual meeting.
OLD BUSINESS
Insurance update: Western World Insurance will continue to cover Greenwood Township’s ongoing MNOSHA claim. Ralston is talking to another insurance company for coverage. Deluca noted – he talked to Jim Fisher, our District director– MATIT will soon cover Greenwood by May or June 2019.

Board of Appeal Training is available. We now have 3 board members with training.

Reports: Supervisors-Beihoffer requested a sympathy card be sent to Tom Rukavina’s family. Deluca – 36 Lights have been replaced in the hall, lock is replaced at the skating shack, Fire dept door locks have been changed. Lights have been replaced by the cannisters. Ralston – rink upkeep being done. Fire Dept: Runs- Fire-8, EMS – 17, additional call out fire- 2, Drill – 1, Meeting-1, Training-14. Blood borne pathogen training. Fire Dept cleaning done. Boxed up Radios and pagers to be sold. Second reading of SOG \ POC done. Box Alarm in progress. Purchased used Radios from Itasca county. Radio shop configured for Greenwood. IAMRESPONDING program up and running. FF I \ II training starting. Donation to be used for Snowbulance supplies. Scott Kregness pension request in – 23 years and 7 months. 2 new radios to possibly go to Pike Sandy. Safety: copies of POC\SOC sent Clerk: $194.16 capital credit from Lake County Power. Paving company’s advertisement supplied Ralston: checking with County for paving parking lot. Email from TEDA regarding Broadband project grant. Beihoffer needs more information, possible attending the meeting.
Public Comment: John Bassing: Broadband service working on getting service to our area. Would bring much faster internet for business, employment, and education. He will be part of the meeting. Also, wanted to know if the treasurer is a spokesperson for the board? Ralston said to take it up with the treasurer. There was talk of dissolving the township, annexation.
Correspondence: Letter from SLC – Bakk variance approved, Christmas card from Frandsen Bank.
