Byron Beihoffer asked, after seeing John Bassing snowplowing at the town hall, if he receives pay for plowing? Bassing responded – no – it is voluntary. Mary Richard said Thank You to Mr.Lotz for watering the skating rink and John Bassing for plowing the rink. (The rink is not yet usable) Noting the only recreation the township has had for 30 years is a skating rink. Wanting to know if there was an agenda by someone to not have a skating rink? She will also like to have a Township rummage sale at the town hall in the spring.

Lake Vermilion Fire Brigade- Bassing talked to township attorney-Couri would like Greenwood to terminate partnership with Lake Vermilion Fire Brigade. League of cities director says he would not see a problem. It is extremely rare to sue a fire dept. Still looking for records from previous township attorney.
Pavilion update- Jarri Ankrum said the Rec Committee has $7500.00 and $2000.00 in pledges. They are planning 2 fundraisers and are confident all money will be raised for a children’s playset. With no cost to the township.

Bassing- regarding attorney contact – attorney does not make policies, they are made by Greenwood, a thank you to all volunteers, thank you to Delores and there will be a reception for her March 5, 2017. Deluca-regarding attorney, $1300.00 cost, for talking to the employee committee. Maus-does not feel he should be reprimanded. Fire dept. – 2 training meetings, 1 meeting, 1 drill, 13 ems calls, 2 fires, and 2 voucher payments, the money for the pump purchase will come from the capital equipment fund, and will be transferred to the general fund, Motion: Bassing\Baland to repair engine #1 Passed 5/0
