Chair Bassing calls meeting to order

Roll call: Chair Bassing, Vice chair Deluca, M Ralston, P Skubic, L Tahija, Treasurer Rodgers, Clerk Drobac

Motion: Bassing\Ralston to approve October minutes -AMENDED TO ADD- a transcription of Jeff Maus’ comments at the Public comment section of the October meeting                                        Passed 5/0

Motion: Ralston\Bassing to approve November minutes with AMENDED TO ADD (concerning the outside faucet) Hoses cannot be used for drinking water                               Passed 5/0

Treasurer report: Checking – $292,710.65 Long Term Investments – $251,499.47  Savings – $226,698.26     Total:  $770,908.38

Claims presented

Motion: Ralston\Skubic to approve presented claims                                       Passed 4/1 Bassing voting no—claim 18371 –Heisel exceeded spending authority of $1000.00    AMENDED TO SAY CLAIM WAS FOR 2 PROJECTS.

Public comment- Rick Stoehr- feels the township is heading back to where we were. Guidelines for the township are available on line or at the township office. Questions open meeting law. Supervisors go against the recommendations of the township attorney.                            Mary Richard – thanks for the skating rink. Merry Christmas.  JoAnn Bassing – response to Deluca – talked about Deluca bullying her at the last meeting. Deluca had misrepresented himself to Mark Peterson, of MHD. She will not be intimidated easily. Donovan Strong – requested 18 months back for minutes, audio and any correspondence or e-mails between supervisors, and\or the township attorney, regarding himself. Also, any information on township policy that would prohibit him from serving. We also have very few firefighters willing to work and put their lives on the line. Any issues with him or his other places of work, please call him.                    Jeff Maus- wanted to clarify with Ralston about treatment of the clerk- there is no place here for bullying.      Ralston- clarifying- postings are done by the clerk.

Correspondence- Christmas Cards from mail carrier and Frandsen Bank, SLC new planning process, letter from Mckenna Lund asking for information on township data. Well at pavilion- discussion on possible well at pavilion. Possible IRRRB grant.

Inventory of township owned equipment- clerk to look for list in safe deposit box

Ice rink – Ralston working on the rink- fire dept. to help

Firefighter retirement – discussion on Scott Kregness, who has 3 events not paid and short 1-year service credit from 2014       Motion: Bassing\Deluca to call PERA to correct years of service for Kregness to 25 years                  Passed 5/0                Motion: Bassing\Deluca to pay Kregness for 3 events not paid in 2014                      Passed 5/0

Reports: Supervisors- Bassing thank you to volunteers, Mike Richard, Mary Richard, Mike Ralston and Merry Christmas to all.                     Fire Dept.-run report-3 fires, 6 ems calls, 1 drill, 1meeting, 1 training, and 2 vouchers. Training done on equipment. All firefighters qualify for service credit. 2 older gas monitors         Motion: Deluca\Tahija to spend $1500.00 to purchase 2 co2 monitors      Passed 5/0 Update ongoing on 2014 maps. Discussion on GPS units. Need 6 pulse oximeters. Purchased 3 gas cans for aviation fuel. Training – Alexandria, Hibbing, Mankato, Detroit Lakes.   Motion: Bassing\Skubic to approve purchase of 1 set of turnout gear                        Passed 5/0                                                 911- 1 new and 1 pending.           Clerk-$300.00 credit received by returning old parts for airboat.

Junk mail will be available for viewing and then will be recycled
