MATIT question by Dave Fazio-do we have errors and omissions insurance—township will need to find insurance to cover. Bev Peterson question about coverage- Township is keeping workman’s comp, bond program, property and physical liability. Lloyd Ollila- wants to know how the township got to the point of losing insurance—township over several years have had many claims – lawsuits, property damage, etc. Jet Galonski-questions –if the ongoing cases were resolved could we continue with the MATIT insurance-NO Bassing does not see it. Marcie Moe- is there a dollar amount on claims for MATIT to drop us?—Bassing does not know. Baland clarifying to Lloyd Ollila- he had requested Eric Hedtke be here, but he \ they will not come anymore.
Comment by Ed Borchardt – should the township go back to 3 supervisors?
Motion Bassing\Deluca to remove concerned citizens from meeting agenda and no public input after motion is seconded. Rescinded. Maus is concerned that everyone has a voice, and also make changes to recoup MATIT insurance. Marilyn Mueller feels residents should contact board members during the month- not at the meetings. Lloyd Ollila agrees – the discussion should be at the end of the meeting. Barb Lofquist – perhaps a place on the website for opinions and concerns from the residents. Jan Makowski – can citizens still speak at the beginning of the meeting? – Yes (need to sign list). Barb Lofquist—perhaps citizens can have informal meetings with 1or 2 board members?
