John Bassing thanks election judges, clerk, Attorney Couri for work done on election. Also disappointed in the comment made by a reporter for Tower news stating Greenwood is not capable of conducting a fair election- this comment is slanderous and goes outside the bounds of journalist ethics.
Public Comment: Sue Drobac noted the Tower News article – the election judges were not reading magazines. Also, how can a reporter write an article if he is not at the meeting? Mark Drobac requested an apology to the township from journalist Tony Sikora regarding his outburst and profanity at the re-count meeting, this is not a barroom. Jarri Ankrum gave updates about the work the Rec Dept will not do—no repair of the benches, will not change the sign for Greenwood Township. The Rec Dept has applied for a grant to upgrade the bocce court and noted the playset will be installed when the weather is better. Deluca will talk to the county about the sign. Pam Rodgers will add items to Facebook for this. Mary Richard sent a letter regarding the board going forward with the concerns of the residents in mind. Would like follow up on the hiring issue and would like the 911 system sent to the county. Mike Indihar commented on the 911 system. Marilyn Mueller commented on the 911 system. Ralston talked about the possibility of bringing someone in to talk about the 911 system. Tony Sikora (who has articles in the Tower News) said he only represents himself and does not work for the Tower News. He is not paid by them.
